近日，Ori系列總監托馬斯·馬勒在X平台否認《奧日3》正在開發的傳聞，同時透露Moon Studios內部已就回購《奧日》IP展開討論。

近期有傳言稱Xbox可能在科隆遊戲展公布經典IP復活計劃，Saber Interactive旗下團隊正開發Ori新作，甚至有望亮相秋季Xbox直面會。馬勒連發兩條推文回應，稱自己從未聽聞微軟有重啟計劃，相關傳聞純屬"無稽之談"。
"又是謠言，很多人來問我《奧日3》的事……我對此一無所知。"馬勒表示，微軟在《最後一戰》項目上投入巨資卻未能重現輝煌，應當吸取教訓——只有合適的人才接手IP，才能避免產出粗製濫造的內容。他直言懷疑其他工作室能做好這個系列，"讓奧日'回家'回到Moon Studios才是最合理的。"
不過馬勒也提到，系列作曲家加雷斯·科克認為，是時候推出新作了。
