近日,《殺戮尖塔2》的主創Casey Yano在X平台上發了一通關於開發的牢騷,沒想到引來不少玩家跟帖共鳴。

他感嘆,自己幾乎天天都在跟各種軟體、固件、遊戲和作業系統打交道,更新個不停,而自家作品《殺戮尖塔2》本身也保持著高頻推送。他略帶無奈地寫道:「我總是在更新軟體、固件、遊戲、作業系統……各種東西。我知道我們自己的遊戲也更新得很頻繁……>:( 我以後不想再做搶先體驗(Early Access)了,我不想繼續為這個世界增加這種煩人的事情。」

It's fun to see "update pending" for a game you love. You get excited to boot it up again It's only annoying when the original product is lacking, or the updates are forced at an inconvenient time Maybe you feel this way because Spire 2 has negative reviews at incomplete state?
The updates are fun and Early Access helps tune the game in a way simulation couldn't. You have a living community embracing your development process, don't conflate it with the "global annoyingness" please!
EA是Steam常見的發行模式,遊戲未完成即上線,通過玩家反饋持續打磨,如《柏德之門3》《殺戮尖塔2》均採用此方式。
