據X平台推主Urban GTA 6爆料,Rockstar Games前技術總監Obbe Vermeij近日披露了《GTA》系列兩款經典作品在開發階段的漏洞數量,數據令人震驚。
Former Rockstar technical director Obbe Vermeij said San Andreas had around 70,000 bugs, while GTA IV had roughly double that at 140,000. With Rockstar’s open worlds only getting bigger since then, it makes you wonder how many bugs GTA 6 has gone through during development. Even with a more refined engine, the scale of GTA 6 must make bug fixing a nightmare. 😭
Vermeij表示,《GTA:聖安地列斯》在開發過程中累計出現了約7萬個Bug,而《GTA4》的漏洞數量則達到前者的兩倍,約為14萬個。這一數字直觀反映出,隨著遊戲世界規模的擴大與系統複雜度的提升,開發過程中暴露的問題數量呈現明顯的指數增長趨勢。

從《GTA》系列誕生起,Rockstar便不斷挑戰開放世界的極限。《GTA5》中的洛聖都不僅地圖遼闊,更包含了極為密集的交互細節與持續運營的線上模式。而根據預告片及多方爆料,《GTA6》將呈現系列歷史上最大的地圖、最多的可進入室內場景,以及最複雜的NPC行為系統。
I don't think anyone was aware of it to we would have fixed it. If I remember correctly we had a total of 140000 bugs in the database and this one slipped through.
儘管Vermeij並未參與《GTA6》的開發,但他基於過往經驗指出:「即便使用了更先進的引擎和開發工具,遊戲體量的持續膨脹,依然會讓漏洞修復工作成為一場噩夢。」

目前《GTA6》的開發規模遠超《GTA4》數倍,即便現代引擎與技術流程已大幅進化,其潛在的Bug數量恐怕仍將是一個天文數字。業界普遍認為,這將是Rockstar面臨的前所未有的技術挑戰之一。
