卡普空近日公布了《魔物獵人物語3：命運雙龍》此前預告的夏季免費更新更多細節。本次更新將為主線通關後的玩家提供更具挑戰性的最終決戰，以及遍布遊戲世界的「怪物之王」變體。
據官方透露，玩家在完成遊戲主線後，重新載入同一存檔即可解鎖一個難度大幅提升的最終決戰版本。官方此前已提示，建議等級達到90級及以上的玩家謹慎備戰。
成功擊敗這一加強版最終Boss後，遊戲中幾乎所有現有怪物都將以「怪物之王」形態在世界各地出現。此外，入侵怪物和古龍也將擁有各自的怪物之王變體。
與此同時，官方表示以魯迪為主角的付費DLC外傳內容開發進展順利，有可能比原計劃更早發布。
《魔物獵人物語3：命運雙龍》現已登陸Nintendo Switch 2、PS5、Xbox Series X|S以及PC(Steam)平台，全球同步發售。

After completing the game, reloading your save file will allow you to take on the ‘Final Battle’ again at a higher difficulty level. Once you clear this version of the Final Battle, almost all existing monsters will then be able to appear as Royal Monsters across the game’s regions, allowing you to take on even more challenging battles. Furthermore, you will also be able to take on Royal Monster versions of the Invasive Monsters and Elder Dragons, so prepare your Monsties, strategies and gear for battle!
